Carmela Mondino
My career began in corporate strategy and ESG, where I focused on engineering and sustainability across prominent global firms. While advising on financial performance and value creation, I came to recognize that the successful implementation of sustainable finance strategies is deeply tied to a company’s mission, values, and culture. This insight guided my transition to an independent advisor in the sustainable finance space, where I help clients navigate this critical intersection of strategy and human dynamics.
With over 15 years of experience, I advise investors and their portfolio companies across private equity, private infrastructure, and asset management on critical issues like M&A, business transformation, and corporate strategy. My journey has included senior positions at leading companies such as TotalEnergies, adidas, and Lonza, and most recently as Head of ESG & Sustainability at Partners Group. In this capacity, I’ve demonstrated my capacity to navigate complex business challenges and deliver substantial, long-term value.
Armed with an MBA from the University of St. Gallen and a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, I combine rigorous strategic thinking with a pragmatic approach to sustainable finance advisory. I firmly believe that for sustainability strategies to create lasting value, they must be seamlessly integrated into an organization’s core. It is this conviction that leads me to collaborate with partners who specialize in human capital and culture to ensure a truly holistic approach.
I am now excited to serve as an Associate Partner at Brooksmiller, a collaboration that complements my independent advisory work in sustainable finance. This partnership allows me to bring deep expertise in human capital and culture to my clients when their transformation efforts require a comprehensive approach to mission, values, and organizational strategy. My goal is to help businesses build the foundations for impactful and sustainable growth, both financially and culturally.
